Our orthoses leverage advances in solid modeling software. The finalized form of the orthosis is the result of a dynamically driven design algorithm which configures the slopes and curves of the wedges and surfaces based on anatomical and bio-mechanical information captured during the patient encounter. We do not use a library system to match an orthotic device to foot type. We only fabricate one of a kind orthoses that are built to each patient’s needs.


We offer combinations of semi-soft materials that permit a comprehensive set of choices for the practitioner. We also have pre-selected material combinations to address specific performance or pathology requirements that can facilitate the selection process.

EvenKeel introduces control for reactive force across the entire plantar anatomy including the toe area. This is achieved through patent pending wedges, flanges and first-ray cutback features.

The degree and dimensions of each wedge are computed by algorithm based on the biomechanical findings and the geometry of the anatomical landmarks captured in the scan. A prescriber can adjust the computed degree of prescription with their own specification if desired.

Cutback Wedge

The cutback wedge provides simplification of a complicated forefoot prescription. It is an intrinsic wedge of the first ray that is independently controlled in the prescription. Prescribers accurately control the degree of the first ray wedge based on their evaluation.

Our flange capabilities are a unique component not found elsewhere in the industry.

Lateral and medial flanges are standard in our orthoses. The dimensions (length, height and thickness of each flange are computed by algorithm based on the patient encounter findings. Typically as more varus is introduced, the lateral flange increases its dimensions to counter a tendency to slide off an orthosis with significant prescription. The flange can be positioned anywhere along the saggittal plane to adjust the location of the support structure in relation to forefoot or rearfoot. A prescriber can adjust the computed prescription values with their own specification if desired such as reducing the dimensions or advancing more material to the forefoot and/or rearfoot. All flange features are intrinsic, contiguous and integrated with wedging.
